概要

The HEMU Acoustics Anechoic Test Chamber is engineered for industrial R&D labs, quality assurance facilities, and acoustic test centres that require a traceable, repeatable free-field environment for noise measurement. Unlike large research anechoic chambers, the anechoic test chamber is sized and equipped specifically for the product under test (PUT), maximising measurement efficiency while minimising facility footprint.

The chamber's acoustic treatment uses rigid-backed wedge absorbers achieving free-field conditions (±1 dB deviation from inverse-square law) down to the specified cut-off frequency. Background noise levels of ≤ 10 dB(A) — achieved through a floating floor, spring-mounted structural shell, and low-velocity HVAC — ensure that self-noise does not compromise the measurement floor for quiet products such as fans, motors, and consumer electronics.

Standard configurations cover cut-off frequencies of 100 Hz, 200 Hz, or 315 Hz depending on chamber size and absorber specification. A hinged access door and removable floor panel over the test zone allow fixture changes and large EUT installation. Integral cable management conduits and a shielded electrical penetration panel support powered test articles.

The modular construction allows the anechoic test chamber to be installed in existing laboratory buildings and relocated if needed. Commissioning includes free-field qualification testing to ISO 3745 or equivalent, with a measurement uncertainty budget provided for accredited laboratory use.
