Soundproof Telephone Booth

The open-plan office telephone call remains one of the most persistent productivity and privacy problems in modern workplace design. The HEMU Acoustics Soundproof Telephone Booth solves this with a self-contained acoustic enclosure that can be positioned anywhere power is available.

STC 38 (Rw 38 dB) composite panel walls attenuate a 65 dB(A) open office floor to approximately 28 dB(A) inside the booth — a quieter environment than most private offices. Outgoing speech is simultaneously contained: voice levels outside the booth drop below 45 dB(A), maintaining surrounding workplace acoustics and speech privacy.

The interior is sized for one person standing (900 mm × 900 mm floor area, 2.1 m clear height) with a fold-down writing shelf, integrated power outlet and USB-A/C port, and a glass panel front for visual connection to the office. A motion-sensor LED lighting system activates on entry and powers off automatically after exit, reducing energy consumption.

The booth ships flat-pack in two cartons and assembles in 20 minutes using push-fit panel connectors. No fixings to the building floor, wall, or ceiling are required, making it fully relocatable and suitable for leased premises. Available in six standard finish options or custom RAL colour to match corporate interiors.
