Overview

The HEMU Acoustics Soundproof Isolation Booth serves the core studio function of acoustic separation — isolating a sound source from the control room and from other recording spaces so that each element can be captured cleanly and independently.

STC 45 (Rw 45 dB) wall construction provides sufficient isolation to separate a loud guitar amplifier from a vocal being recorded in an adjacent space, or to prevent control room monitor bleed from entering a vocal or instrument microphone. The NRC 0.90 interior absorption eliminates room reflections, delivering a near-anechoic recording environment above 250 Hz.

The booth is available in three footprint configurations: Small (1.2 m × 1.2 m) for vocal and single instrument, Medium (1.8 m × 1.5 m) for guitar amplifier isolation or small ensemble, and Large (2.4 m × 2.0 m) for upright bass, cello, or multi-microphone instrument setups.

All configurations include an acoustic iso-window (600 × 400 mm) for line-of-sight communication between the booth and the control room, cable pass-through ports (×4, 50 mm diameter), and an internal monitor speaker bracket with decoupled mounting point. The ventilation system operates at ≤ 22 dB(A) — quiet enough for close-microphone recording without audible fan intrusion.
