Overview
Professional recording quality no longer requires a permanently built studio. The HEMU Acoustics Recording Booth delivers STC 42 (Rw 42 dB) sound isolation combined with a near-dead NRC 0.95 acoustic interior — eliminating room reflections and external noise intrusion simultaneously.
The interior is lined with high-density melamine foam wedge panels (50 mm) and bass trapping corners, providing a flat frequency response suitable for reference recording without post-production room correction. The booth is calibrated to achieve a background noise level below NC-20 under normal building conditions.
Dimensions of 1.4 m × 1.2 m provide comfortable working space for a vocalist, podcast host, or voiceover artist with a microphone stand, shock mount, and equipment rack. Optional equipment shelf and cable pass-through ports are included as standard. A viewing window allows direction from outside the booth.
The panel-based flat-pack construction ships in three cartons and assembles in under 45 minutes. The booth requires no permanent installation and can be relocated without specialist labour. Available in standard charcoal finish or custom RAL powder-coat for studio branding.
Key Features
STC 42 Isolation — Broadcast-Grade Privacy
Triple-layer composite wall panel with mass-loaded vinyl, acoustic foam, and air gap. Tested to ASTM E336 / ISO 140-4. Reduces 90 dB(A) ambient speech noise to below threshold of perception.
NRC 0.95 Dead Interior
50 mm high-density melamine wedge foam on all walls and ceiling, with dedicated bass trap corners. RT60 below 0.15 s across 250 Hz–8 kHz — flat, professional recording environment.
Below NC-20 Background Noise
Silent EC-motor ventilation with baffled acoustic labyrinth keeps operational noise below NC-20 — quieter than a professional recording studio control room.
Complete Signal Infrastructure
Pre-wired XLR pass-through port (2× male + 2× female), USB-A/C fast-charge ports, universal power outlets (100–240 V), and dimmable LED lighting at 900 lux.
Flat-Pack, Relocatable Design
Ships in three standard freight cartons. Panel-lock system assembles without adhesives or permanent fixtures. Can be fully disassembled and relocated in under 60 minutes.
Observation Window
Double-glazed acoustic window with 12 mm air gap on the front panel. Allows visual communication between performer and engineer without compromising isolation.
